Over twenty years of experience as a senior consultant surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital. Mr Alexander Ionides continues his work as an NHS consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital as well as working for the private clinic at Moorfields and undertaking both NHS and private clinics and surgeries.

Robbie Walker
Mr. Walker was trained in North London including fellowship training at Moorfields. Following his training, he became a consultant at Imperial College Hospital (The Western Eye Hospital) and he currently works as a locum consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital as a Vitreo Retinal surgeon (Moorfields Eye Hospital). His experience means he is one of the few surgeons who is an expert in both cataract surgery and vitreoretinal surgery.

Esther Posner is a Consultant Ophthalmologist in the Medical Retina department and clinical lead for the diabetic eye service at the Western Eye Hospital, London since 2015 and prior to that at Barts and the London NHS Trust from 2005 after completing a Fellowship in Medical Retina at Moorfields Eye Hospital.

With 18 years experience in eye care including specialist contact lens clinics and paediatric optometry, Ruth has also taught at City University and worked in refractive surgery hospitals. Holding a Master’s degree in Neuroscience, Ruth possesses a keen interest in nutrition and neurodegenerative diseases. Committed to providing personalized, compassionate eye care, Ruth prioritises a patient-led approach, ensuring each individual receives tailored care that meets their unique needs.
